Dino Dancer
Hitler in Fairyland
Pretty simply a scanned-in pen-and-ink drawing. The original is about 12" x 18". It's one of my favorite drawings. I wrote a children's book titled Dinosaur Dress-Up which was published in 1992. I wanted to illustrate it, but the publisher went with another artist. However, I had done quite a few studies for the book in several different styles. This was one, based more or less on Murray Tinkelman's obsessively crosshatched style. It's one of those deals where once you start, you can't stop. I've used the approach several times, most recently for the illustrations for Penguin Island, one of which is also available on this site.
