The
Font Hill Museum in Doylestown is a fascinating place. Built entirely
out of poured concrete, the buildings look a little like something out
of Tolkein. I'm working on a large painting (about 3' by 2') of one
of the buildings. Like all of them, it has a number of odd little architectural
"things" going on here and there. The painting above is a
detail of one portion of the larger building -- I decided I needed to
do a study of that section of the edifice so I could figure out the
perspective and lighting. This small work is the result.
