Oil painting - "Impatiens," October 2003 |
  I'd
been eyeing this pot of impatiens on my deck for a few days, wondering
if I could capture the delicacy of the blooms. The background was more
complex than it appears here -- I simply painted in some large areas of
color (fingerpainting again, as I did in A Hot Day)
to avoid a too-busy appearance. |
