Web Work

Although I have done web design for a living, it was never an all-consuming thing for me to the extent that I was cruising Glass Dog and those guys to see what was new and cool. (Oh, well, okay -- maybe a little.) Eventually, though, I decided just to go with with my own understanding of design, navigation, and the user experience.

Note -- most of these are Flash-heavy pages designed for a high-speed intranet, so be patient while the cool stuff loads. Also, viewing these pages with browsers other than IE (Firefox, for example) might prove somewhat problematic. Your security settings might also have an impact on loading.

Part of a much longer PowerPoint presentation for Arm & Hammer. Loading results may vary depending on browser and security settings.

Animated "Coach" project for ADP.
I did not create the page -- just the animation.
Nor did I do the voice-over.

An actual PowerPoint presentation saved out as html. Might give you 'tude about loading
depending on your security settings.

Very similar to the Arm & Hammer presentation, with different graphics and colors. Also for CD.

The web site of S. H. Jacobs and Associates, an Executive Search firm in Jenkintown, NJ.

This Flash presentation, for Arm & Hammer, was authored for CD.

The non-pictorial links below lead to some of the sites I have created. Some were constructed with FrontPage, and some were done by simply churning out the HTML by hand. Others are unfortunately not visible -- as in the case of work done for Sungard Treasury Systems -- because they are behind corporate firewalls.
The mandate I seek to follow demands clarity and concision. "Cool" design is generally intrusive, and guess what? Clients don't usually appreciate the triumph of design over content.
Other clients have included: ADP, Bearing Point, Prodigy Services Co., Accutest Environmental Services, Media Packaging, Bard Cardiology, ePharmaLearning, Master Astrologer Eric Francis, and the SFWA Bulletin.
